Teacher - I don't want to disturb parents with messages at night or on the weekend, nor do I want the parents to disturb me

Parents are different—some stay up late and receiving a grade at 10:00 PM is fine for them, while others wake up at 4:30 AM and a notification at 6:00 AM is perfectly acceptable. Some don’t want to hear about school on the weekend, while others are happy to receive grades even on a Sunday.

So that you as a teacher don’t have to think about when each parent prefers to be disturbed or not, EduPage allows each parent, child, and teacher to set when they want to receive messages from EduPage. Outside of this chosen time frame, they have a “quiet time,” during which EduPage will not display notifications on their mobile device.

As a teacher, you can work whenever it suits you. If a parent does not want to be disturbed, they can set exactly when they want to receive notifications and when they don’t.

This setting only applies to mobile notifications. If a parent wants to, they can manually open EduPage and see the grade or message. However, they won’t be able to claim that you disturbed them with a grade over the weekend.

If something serious happens, you as a teacher can mark the message as important—notifications for messages marked this way will appear on mobile regardless of the settings.
