EduPage tools for preventing cheating during online tests

English Slovenčina

EduPage provides several tools to protect against dishonest student behavior during online testing.

  1. Overview of the test progress – test dashboard
Throughout the entire test, the teacher has an overview of where the student is in the test, whether they are leaving the window with the test, and whether they are copying answers from chat into the test. The teacher can also see the success rate of each question within the class. These insights can be used to detect dishonest behavior, but also pedagogically — to help a struggling student, intervene if the whole class has trouble with a particular question, and so on.

  2. Student activity during the test is monitored
The teacher can view a detailed activity log of any student at any time during or after the test. The log records exactly when each question was answered, when the student left the test, when they returned, when they copied text from the test, and when they pasted any text into it.

  3. Temporary test blocking when the test window is left
The teacher has access to a tool that visually displays when a student leaves the test window or exits full‑screen mode. The teacher is notified, and the test is temporarily blocked for the student.

  4. Teachers can use question groupings in online tests
Similar questions can be placed into a single group. EduPage then randomly selects one question from each group for each student. This way, every student can receive an individual version of the test, with different questions in a different order. This feature can also be used to generate printed tests with multiple variants.
