Leaving the window in which the student’s test is running

English Slovenčina

When assigning a test, the teacher can enable a setting that prevents students from leaving the test:

The test will run in full‑screen mode.

If a student leaves the test window during the test (e.g., switches to another window), the test becomes blocked, the screen turns red, and a message appears: “Window abandonment detected!”

The test is blocked for 20 seconds. After clicking the Resume button, a 20‑second countdown begins. Any additional window exit during the countdown will restart the 20‑second timer.

After the 20 seconds pass, the student can continue the test again.

The teacher can see whether a student is attempting to open the internet, chat, AI tools, or similar applications on their device.

The window‑exit blocking feature works the same way in the mobile app. Any exit from the test window triggers a temporary block. All such events are also recorded in the activity log.

Important notes:

1. Carefully consider whether to use this tool. Some test tasks require students to use other applications - for example, Excel tasks require switching to Excel, programming tasks require opening an IDE, etc. In such cases, this tool is not suitable.

2. A system pop‑up in Windows may appear unexpectedly, causing the test window to lose focus and triggering a block. For this reason, we do not recommend enabling this setting when assigning a test for home use.

3. Whether a student leaves the window is recorded even if this switch is turned off. This setting is useful when you cannot see every student’s monitor.

4. Keep in mind that not every student intends to cheat, and those who do not want to cheat may become anxious during the test, worried that they might accidentally block their test.
