Keyboard special characters in the question cards, e.g. $, /, [ ]?
Forward slash  
Forward slash is a keyboard special character used for separating the answers in the ' Select the correct answer' question card. "Select the correct answer" question type 
If you need to enter forward slash in the answer, put the whole expression into the quotation mark.
Students can use forward slash when entering the answer:
closed brackets   
Closed brackets are special characters used for the correct answer. "Type in" question card
If you need to enter closed brackets in the answer, e.g. for coordinates of a point, use mathematical mode, i.e. enter the whole expression into the dollar signs. E.g. Point A has coordinates $[1,1]$.
The second option to enter closed brackets without the function of interpreting the correct answers is to use the 'Do not create answer boxes' setting of the card:

If you need to use dollar sign it in the answer, enter backslash in front of dollars sign: \$ 
The system will not consider the dollar sign as the part of the mathematical expression.
