Administrator - How to create a course for an interest group
Administrator - How to create a course for school club
Interest groups are entered in EduPage. Create a course for each interest group at the beginning of school year in a similar way to any other course. The course can be created by the teacher leading the interest group or it can be created by the administrator:
Select Agenda online in the left menu, then select Interest groups. It also serves as an overview of created courses for the interst groups and the school club.
Select New interest group.
It is important to select "Interest group" from the subjects options.
If you do not know which students are going to attend the interest group, create an "empty interest group" with no students selected. The students can be selected later by the class teachers or by the leader of the interest group.
How the class teacher registers students to interest groups
If you already know, which students are going to attend the interest group, select them now. It is not necessary to start with selecting the class. Just start typing the name of the student. The system lists students, you just tick them.
To display the interest group in the class register, input the scheduled time and date of the interest group. You can do so at a later stage too. The interest group leader can input the scheduled time and date into their personal timetable. Teacher - Why do I not see the course for school club/interest group in class register?
After the changes have been saved, an interest group course will be created. The teacher can find it in the list of other courses in the bottom part of the page.
