Problems communicating with EduPage
If you are experiencing problems communicating with EduPage:
1. Disable your local antivirus / security monitoring program.
These programs are monitoring a communication between you and EduPage. Sometimes they can slow down the communication considerably or even completely block it.
Edupage has mechanisms to mitigate the problem, it can retry the communication several times, but this slows down your work. In some cases the data you input to EduPage simply does not arrive to EduPage server.
To test if the problem is caused by the antivirus / security monitoring program, we advise the customers to disable the communication scanning in your antivirus/security monitoring program.
For Eset Endpoint please check: Disable SSL filtering in ESET Windows products
For Symantec/Norton please check: Excluding sites from HTTPS Inspection
If the communication problems are solved when antivirus is turned off, we advise you to disable HTTPs protocol scanning or add an exception (disable scanning and blocking) for the domain *.edupage.org.
For Eset antivirus please try: Exclude a safe website from being blocked by Web Access Protection
2. Turn off browser plugins
Google chrome allows you to install plugins that change the way how your browser behaves. Some plugins may change the actual web page displayed and this can lead to unexpected problems. Try to disable browser plugins to see if the problem is resolved.
If the above steps do not help, let us know, we will try to help you further.
